The "false flax" and far superior to flax and corpra meal. Camelina is unique. It's higher in ALA with a 2.4:1 ratio of omega 3s to omega 6s, making its shelf life is far better than flaxseed. It's resistant to oxidative rancidity, which makes it highly stable because of its incredibly high vitamin E content of 100 ml.Essential fatty acids are necessary for skin and coat health. A deficiency of omega-3 fats can lead to overly sensitive, itchy and inflamed skin. Shifting the ratio of essential fats more to what a horse would naturally be consuming in the wild may help to normalize inflammation in the skin and support skin health.

**This camelina is pure, high-omega, non-GMO, grown and harvested in northwestern Montana using sustainable and traceable agricultural methods. "We cold-press process our camelina seed into camelina oil and meal to ensure that all of the natural, healthy nutritional benefits of the camelina plant oil and meal are retained."

  • The daily intake of camelina  for the average 1000lb horse is 2 tbsp twice daily if using oil, you can double for the meal form. There are no studies on the daily intake limit. From research, people have given their hard keepers up to 6 tbsp daily. Most use the oil because in truth that seems to be all that is available but, not all horses like the texture. I was fortunete enough to find an amazing harvester in the U.S. that provides this non-gmo meal.

*my rescue horse is up to 8 tbsp. daily as of right now and doing amaizing* (since February 2023)
